Lena Hudson, 91 of Amarillo, TX passed away on May 17, 2011.
Services are scheduled as follows; The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel, located at 1505 Martin Road. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Martin Road Chapel. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Lena was born on August 14, 1919 in Glover, OK to James Guss Benningfield and lula Bell Bean. She moved to California in 1952, where she worked for Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, CA in the food service department for 11 years until her retirement in 1981. She moved to Amarillo in September of 1982.
Survivors include her son, J.L. Hudson of Arroyo Granda, CA; 4 grandchildren,; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.
