Lee Roy Odneal, 72, of Bushland, TX went to be with our Lord on February 9, 2015. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, February 13, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Bushland with pastor Jeff Ponder officiating. Arrangements are LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Lee Roy was born to Arthur and Opal Odneal on January 9, 1943 in Amarillo, TX. He married the love of his life, Linda Ellen Thompson on June 5, 1961 in Amarillo. Lee Roy worked as a welder at Owens Corning before retiring after 28 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and any activity that was outdoors. Lee Roy was an avid fisherman and loved going camping.
After retirement, you could find Lee Roy most days at his beloved church, First Baptist in Bushland, taking care of the building and grounds. As a Deacon and servant of the church, Lee Roy was constantly working behind the scenes making sure everything was running smoothly. He loved his church and church family tremendously. Lee Roy was loved by many and will be missed terribly.
Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Lee Roy is survived by his wife, Linda. Three sons, Danny of Bushland, Robert and his wife Cinda of Amarillo and Johnny and his wife Edie of Tulia. Six grandchildren, Jacqualyn, Samantha, Braidi, Kaitlyn and Jonathan all of Tulia and Bailee Higdon of Amarillo. He is also survived by his niece, Donna Scott, of La Grange, Georgia.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 - 7:30pm, Thursday, February 12, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
