Lawrence Alexander Miller, age 84, of Amarillo passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:00 am at Claude Church of Christ with Dr. Shaun Johnson, minister officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lawrence was born June 19, 1929 in Hamilton, Ohio to Alexander and Nellie (Jones) Miller. Lawrence married his wife of 52 years Betty Jean Miller June 27, 1948 in Shamrock, Tx. She preceded him in death in 2001. Lawrence was an ordained minister for 25 years. Lawrence was also preceded in death by three brothers Roscoe Miller in 1984 and William Miller in 1996 and Don Miller in 2005.
Survivors include a son Marvin and wife Lovella Miller, two daughters Bonnie Ramos and Brenda Beck both of Amarillo his eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Lawrence also leaves behind his three brothers Milton Miller of San Antonio, Grant Miller of Bay City, Tx and Roger Miller of Virginia Beach, Va. and four sisters Nellie Joyce of Lexington, OK., Doris Brown of El Campo, Tx., Mary Christmas and Sherly Owens.
