Lawrence "Larry" Lindsey

July 2, 1959 — December 15, 2011

Lawrence “Larry” Lindsey, 52 of Amarillo passed away on December 15, 2011. His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 19, 2011 at More Church located at 5511 W Amarillo Blvd. with Pastor Daryl Roach and Pastor Frankie Garcia officiating.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors.  Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX.

The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening, December 18th from 5-7:00 pm.

Mr. Lindsey was born on July 2, 1959 in Long Beach, California to Lawrence and Lorina Lindsey. He grew up in Amarillo and attended Tascosa High School.  He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army while stationed in Germany. Larry married the love of his life, Alice Garcia, on March 20, 1982 in Hereford. He was a dedicated worker at Plains Dairy for more than 20 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing tennis and also loved to cook. He was a huge Oakland Raider fan.  Larry was so courageous during his two year battle with cancer. The family wishes to express their heart-felt gratitude to Dr. Forero and all the caring staff at Texas Oncology for their kindness and compassion during his illness.  Larry was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his sister Catalina Lindsey in 2011.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alice; his daughter, Candice Lindsey Garcia and husband Joshua of Amarillo;  his son, Lawrence Esau Lindsey and wife Brennan also of Amarillo; his four grandchildren, Brooklyn Elise Garcia,  Joshua Urijah Garcia, Lawrence Declan Lindsey and Caiden Parker Lindsey;  his father, Lawrence Robert Lindsey of Sacramento, CA; his mother Lorina Hunnicutt of Amarillo;  His brothers,  Jimmy Hunnicutt and wife Beverly, Archie Hunnicutt and wife Lisa, Eddy Ramirez and Anthony Parker and wife Krystal and many other loving relatives and friends.
