Laurence B. Krobot, 86, of Amarillo passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, August 30, 2019. Rosary will be said at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Rex Nicholl as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
Laurence was born on October 30, 1932 in Quinton, OK. to John and Anna Krobot. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Juanita Lockridge on April 6, 1955 in Amarillo. Laurence was a truck driver for Borden's until his retirement. He was a jokester and loved to work in the garden. He always had some kind of puzzle game in the house and was a man of many sayings. Laurence believed that everybody needed a hug and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Juanita, a son Ralph, a brother Ralph and his sister Francis.
He is survived by five daughters, Liz McBride and husband Ed, Kathy Edwards and John Rush, Vicky Kendall and husband Roger, Loretta Tupin, Molly Massey and husband Tracy; two sons, Larry Krobot and wife Debbie, Michael Krobot and wife Sherry; seventeen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
