Larry Dean Patterson

Larry Dean Patterson, 71, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Larry was born on June 19, 1949 in Childress, Texas to J.T. and Alice Christeen Patterson. Larry graduated high school then went on to further his education with some college courses. He later worked at Bell Helicopter but his main pride and joy was his business he owned and operated for over 30 years, Apache Motors. Larry married Margie Patterson and they were married for 30 years before her passing August 17, 1999. He loved his roosters, watching the horse races and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. He was always there for everyone no matter what, he was the best caretaker. Larry was a member of AQHA, he loved his horses and was a part of the NRA. Larry would constantly donate his time and money for the kid’s sports and FFA. He was a kind man who will be missed by all who adore him.

He is preceded in death by his late wife, Margie Patterson; his father, J.T. Patterson and his grandchild, Ryder Lane Mears.

He is survived by his mother, Alice Christeen Patterson; his significant other, Vickie Ditmore; his children, Jimmy Patterson, Michael Wayne Patterson and Georgia Rae Patterson; his grandchildren, Amanda Faye Boone, Jeremy Todd Patterson and wife Megan; Lanell Sue Patterson and significant other Cruz, Scotty Dean Dorden and Marlee Mae; seven great-grandchildren and his brothers, Bruce Patterson and Danny Patterson.
