Kevin Julius Grooms

Kevin Julius Grooms "Waddy", 31 of Canyon, passed from this life on Friday, August 10, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 10:00 am in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.

Waddy was born on September 7, 1986 in Amarillo, Texas to Dennis Julius and Staci (Clifton) Grooms. He was raised for most of his upbringing by his grandparents, Johnny and Iris Clifton. Waddy had the most giving nature. He loved people and had a huge heart. He is described by his family as being an easy going man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and being Captain of the boat on the lake. He attended and graduated from River Road High School where he enjoyed playing baseball. One of his nieces' fondest memories is that when she would return from school every day, he would sit and watch Hannah Montana with her.

Waddy was preceded in death by his father, Dennis and his beloved grandpa, Johnny Clifton.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marci Grooms, of the home; his children, Noah Williams, Dillon White and Macie White; his mother, Staci Williams; grandmother, Iris Clifton; his sisters, Jami Jordan and Dana Jones and his best friend, Jonathan Stevens. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who dearly loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc.
