Kenny Allen Pulliam, age 62, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. A time for the family to receive friends will be Monday, May 12, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Matt Thackerson officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Kenny was born in Champaign, Ill on March 24, 1952 to James and Harriette (Day) Pulliam. He graduated from Champaign High School and Lincoln Christian College. He married the love of his life Linda (Martin) Pulliam in Bloomington, Ill. on July 21, 1973.
Kenny worked most of his life in the Dairy industry as a plant manager/supervisor. He was preceded in death by his parents in 2013 and a sister Brenda Earl in 1997.
Kenny rejoiced in life and truly felt that each day was a gift from God. He touched the people
he encountered on a daily basis with his selfless acts and self-giving. He would say good-bye and leave you with a story or comment that left a smile on your face. Not only will he be missed by his family, but the many people that he called friends or shared a word with along his way.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years. Linda of Amarillo and a son Joshua and wife Misty Pulliam of Amarillo and his three grandchildren AnnMarie Mackey Pulliam, Graham Allen Pulliam and Lilly Mae Pulliam. He is also survived by his two sisters Lois Wingler of Tolono, Ill. and Vickie Raegle of Champaign, Ill.
