Kenneth G. Melton

Funeral service will be 10AM Wednesday Feb, 6th 2013 at the LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel with Rev. Lawrence W. Ross officiating. LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo are in charge of arrangements.
Kenneth G. Melton was born on October 9, 1942 in Oakland, CA. to Ronald and Naomi Kell Melton. He was raised and educated in Tulia graduating from Tulia High School. He did many things in his various professions but a pipeline welder was what he liked best. He most recently was a plumber for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Unit in Amarillo. Kenneth was a generous man who also was a devoted father and adored grandfather.
Preceded in death by his parents, a step mother Ann Melton and a step sister, Dee.
Survivors include a son Marcus Melton and Cathy of Canyon, a brother Ron Melton and wife Nancy of South Jordan, Utah and two grandchildren Parker and Josie
Family has requested memorials be made to BSA Hospice of Amarillo.
