Kenneth Dwayne Crump, age 76, of Amarillo passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. A time for the family to receive friends will be Monday, March 17, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10:00 am at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery.
Kenneth was born in Estelline to Arless and Edna Lois (Tyner) Crump on January 8, 1938. He married the love of his life Peggy Shockley in Memphis, March 16, 1959. Kenneth worked for TXDOT as a road inspector for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Elesa Kay Crump in 1997.
Kenneth enjoyed traveling and camping and loved working in his wood shop. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and visiting with his many friends. He will be missed.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 54 years Peggy Crump of Amarillo and two brothers Ronald and wife Clara Crump and Donald and wife Carol Crump both of Amarillo and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Elesa Kay Crump Education Fund at the Amarillo Area Foundation.
