Karen Jean “ Remlinger” Scholz, 54, of Austin received her wings on Monday, December 13, 2010. Karen was born May 22, 1956 in Amarillo to W.J. Remlinger and Margaret Remlinger and baptized as a catholic. Karen was formally married to Richard Scholz for 25 years, which they continued to stay friends after the divorce. Although Karen was hearing impaired she did not let that slow her down. She was very determined in life. She was a hard worker and had been employed at Levis Strauss, NWTH, and Jackson Square Grill before moving to Austin earlier this year. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, decorating, cooking and baking.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Kendra Anna Scholz.
Survivors include her daughter Angela, son and daughter-in-law Erick and Amy, brother Steve Remlinger from Amarillo; a brother and sister-in-law from Rowlett, TX, Phillip and Sandi Remlinger; grandson Avion Carter and granddaughter Avery Carter; multiple cousins.
She will always have a special place in her heart for all of her friends.
