Julie Renee Mitchell

Julie Renee (Obman) Mitchell, 65 of Amarillo passed away on July 24, 2022. She was born July 2, 1957, to Dale and Jean Obman in Cherokee, Iowa. Julie grew up in Rembrandt, Iowa, where she graduated high school in 1975. She attended Northwest College in Orange City, Iowa. In 1979 she moved to Hereford, TX, and ultimately came to Amarillo, TX, to be closer to her parents. Julie loved spending time with her son Andrew, family and friends, as well as traveling and shopping. She worked at Builders Square for about ten years, then Jack B. Kelly for 15 years and most current was director of human resources for Advance Pavement.

Julie is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son Andrew Mitchell of Amarillo, TX, a sister, Debbie Obman and her son Joe Gonzalez both of Amarillo, a brother, John Obman, his wife Mary and their children, Scottie Brewer, his wife Amanda and their children, Jacob Brewer and Brittney Mech and her husband Bryan Mech. She was loved dearly by nephews and nieces.
