Judy "Nana" Underwood Ward

Judy "Nana" Ward, 57, of Amarillo passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 2, 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Pastor Don Speedy of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating.

Judy was born on August 26, 1960 in Amarillo to Lee and Lela Underwood. Judy married Dale Ward on July 10, 1976 in Amarillo. Judy loved her four dogs and two cats and made sure that they were taken care of when she was out of town. She would leave notes around the house reminding everyone to feed the dogs. She liked to work word search puzzles and she was an excellent cook known for her fried chicken at Easter and her Thanksgiving dinners. Her greatest love was spending time and taking care of her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Audrey Ward and a sister, Sue Sustaita.

She is survived by her husband of forty one years, Dale; a son, Jeremy Ward; a daughter, Rhonda Ward; a sister, Janet Conley; a brother, Tom Underwood and seven grandchildren, Sydney Ward, Felicity Doster, Brandon Doster, Piper Ward, Eleanor Ward, Sara Ward and Jayden Ward.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Friday, June 1, 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel.
