Judy Gallegos Garcia, age 60, of Amarillo passed away October 17, 2013.
A time for the family to receive friends will be Saturday from 9 am to 11 am.
Funeral services will be at 11am Saturday Oct. 26, 2013 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road, Amarillo, Texas with Sherman Eastland, Chaplain of Odyssey Hospice, officiating.
Judy was born on May 23, 1953 in Denver, Colorado unto Tony and Vera Gallegos. Judy lived her entire life in Amarillo. She is no longer here with us but we know she is in a better place, dancing and being with the Lord. Judy was a very caring and loving Mother. She would do anything for her children. She loved meeting new people and no one was a stranger to her. Judy enjoyed shopping, garage sales, playing the slots, taking short trips on weekends to visit family, talking on the phone, dancing and cooking for her family. She enjoyed her daily lunches with her daughters.
Judy is survived by her husband Julian Garcia, six children, David Curtis Barclay 44, Julie Mae Barclay 43, Nancy Marie Deanda 35, Angela BaezaBarclay 32, Lorraine Garcia 25, Julian Jr. Garcia 23 all of Amarillo, nineteen grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a grandma’s boy, Devin Ovalle age 16, Eight brothers and sisters, Sue Torres, Corrine Gallegos, Nettie Truehill, Della Gallegos, Jimmy Gallegos, Antonio Gallegos, Gilbert Gallegos all of Clovis and Tony Gallegos, Jr. of Denver, Colorado and her parents Tony and Vera Gallegos.
