Judy Gretchen Chism, 77, of Amarillo died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Bob Miller, Pastor of Crossroads Country Church officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Vega, Texas. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S Coulter Street.
Judy was born on September 21, 1938 in Pampa, Texas to Roscoe and Ruth Pinnell. She grew up in Adrian, Texas where she attended school. Judy married R.C. Chism on April 4, 1958 on the family farm and they were lifelong residents of Adrian. She was a member of Crossroad Country Church. Her faith in Christ was her most precious possession. She was an avid quilter and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, R.C. Chism, and a brother, Edward.
She is survived by a son, Lance Chism; two daughters, Latisha Moore and her husband, Wade; and Shelly Henderson and her husband, Jason; a brother, Phillip Pinnell and his wife, Cynthia; a sister, Linda Pohlmeier and her husband, Greg; eight grandchildren, Kayndra Henderson, Ashton Moore, Noah Moore, Briley Moore, Chism Henderson, Cade Chism, Gracee Shea Henderson, and Stran Henderson.
The family suggests memorials to Crossroads Country Church Building Fund at P.O. Box 50608, Amarillo , TX 79159.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January, 14, 2016 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
