Juanita Mungia Martinez, 60, of Amarillo died on Sunday, May 10, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 14, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Tadd Mann of Palo Duro Cowboy Church officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Juanita was born on May 24, 1954 in Ackly, TX to Robert and Modesta Mungia. She worked as a travel agent in Temple, TX for over 25 years before moving to Amarillo. Juanita loved to play bingo and poker. She also loved dancing and listening to all kinds of country music, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her son Roman and her parents.
She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Martinez of Oklahoma City and Georgina Ellis and husband Andrew of Amarillo; two sons, Raymond George Martinez Jr. of Hereford and John Ray Martinez of Amarillo; five brothers; two sisters; nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
