Josiah Cade Hernandez

Josiah Cade Hernandez, 1 year a nd 7 months, of Amarillo died on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. A rosary service will be held at  6:00 p.m., Wednesday December 2, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 pm,  Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Martin Catholic Church with Msgr. Rex Nicholl  as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors,  1505 Martin Road.

Josiah was born on April 1, 2014 in Amarillo  to Valentina Dayizie Peña and Erick Hernandez. He loved Mickey Mouse and he was a great joy to his family.  Josiah was a brave little boy throughout his numerous heart surgeries.  He touched  many lives with his bright smile that  would light up the room.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sergio Peña, Sr.

Josiah is survived by his mother, Dayizie Peña; his father, Erick Hernandez; grandparents,  Diane Peña and Mike Aranda, Lorena and Jose Alfredo Hernandez; uncles, Alex Peña, Sergio Peña, Jr.,  Alfredo Hernandez, Jose Miguel Hernandez, and Joseph Taylor; aunts, Xylia Peña, Malaysia Peña; cousins, Angel Hernandez,  Jayzlee Taylor; God parents, Lj and Oshay Vargas; God brother, Johah Vargas;  and a host of loving friends.
