Joseph "Dick" "Chief" Wright, 79, formerly of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Amarillo.
Dick was born in Stoneham, Mass. on October 16, 1935. He married Gloria Lafferty on December 27, 1954 in Amarillo.
He served in the Air Force for 30 years defending our country and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. He then worked for Prudential Insurance for 10 years. He was a Mason and enjoyed making kids happy as a Shriner clown for over 35 years.
Survivors include his wife Gloria of 60 years from San Antonio, TX, daughters Dr. Carmalita and husband David McCallum of Bryan TX, Debbie and husband Eric Florander of Austin TX, and son Dave Wright from Clarendon TX, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Memorial services in Amarillo and San Antonio Texas are pending.
