Funeral service will be at 2PM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter

Holy Rosary will be said at 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery

Josefa was born January 1, 1928 in Big Springs to Jose Maria Diaz and wife Maria. She worked for the Big Springs ISD and retired after 23 years. Josefa moved to Amarillo in 1992 to be closer to her family. She loved to play bingo, uno and skip bo with her grandchildren. Josefa enjoyed dancing and traveling and passed that love on to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was blessed to have lived a long and healthy life. The family will be at 4400 S. Washington following the services.

Josefa was preceded in death by a her parents, a brother, Juan Rangel, a sister, Juanita Rodriguez, and two sister in laws, Mary Lou and Clara Rangel.

Josefa is survived by sons, Juan Duran and wife Betty, SGT Major Margarito Duran and wife Rosa and Roy Duran and wife Gloria; daughters, Patsy Quirino and husband David, Grace Avila and husband Adan and Lali (Vee) Montanez and husband Mario; a grandson, Raymond Duran along with 85 other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
