Jose Moises Solano

Jose Moises Solano, 69, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Roy as Celebrant. Rosary will be read at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano East Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel.

Jose was born on November 13, 1950 in Firestone, CO. Jose was a welder for over forty years. After retiring, he loved to work in his yard and mow the grass. Jose loved to travel and was always ready and he just needed to know what time they were leaving. He also loved going hunting and collecting guns and knives. Jose was a very caring man who never met a stranger. He was always taking care of everybody. He was known as the weekend breakfast cook, but his favorite thing to do was hanging out with his family and grandchildren and going to all of their activities.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his wife Mary.

He is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Mitchell and husband Keith and Gerri Chavez and husband Chris; his two sons, Joe Michael Solano and wife Margaret and Eddie Solano and his wife Stephanie; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Tiffany, Monty, Kyle, Christian, Josie, Marcus, Katelyn and Ryan; two great grandchildren, Justin and Kloe and two grandpuppies, King and Roxie.
