Marie Cannon, 70, of Amarillo died on Friday, June 14, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Amarillo Fellowship Church with Pastor Richie Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Groom Cemetery.
Marie Cannon was born on May 2, 1944 to John and Mary Coe in Albertville, Alabama. Marie was a terminal manager in the freight business. Marie married the "Love" of her life Gary Cannon on September 14, 2009. Meme was a selfless lady that looked after and tried to take care of everyone that came in contact with her. She was all about her grandkids and loved taking them places. Meme loved her family but was not fond of horny toads. She was a strong willed woman who made the best chocolate pies. Meme's two greatest loves were the Lord and her church and her husband Gary.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece.
She is survived by her husband Gary; two daughters, Jan Parden and Amy Dawn and husband Danny, both of Amarillo; three sons, Chris Ladue and wife Michele of Amarillo, Charles Mobley of Borger and Mark Mobley of El Paso; three sisters, Francis Clancey and husband John of Amarillo, Patsy Pool and Kathy Vaughn and husband Dennis, both of Groom; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to: Amarillo Fellowship Church, 8425 Bell, Amarillo, Texas 79110.
