John Brody Winchester

Brody Winchester, 33 of Amarillo went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 11, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Turpin High School Auditorium in Turpin, Oklahoma with Jimmy Reed and Stan Lehnert, officiating. John Brody Winchester was born on April 18, 1982 in Guymon, Oklahoma to John and Dianne Winchester. He grew up in Texhoma and Turpin, Oklahoma where he graduated from Turpin High School in 2001. Brody attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Health and Education. He taught P.E. and coached in Vega, Texas before moving to Amarillo where he was currently a P.E. teacher at Tradewind Elementary School. Brody married Christie Headrick on July 9, 2005 in Turpin, Oklahoma. He attended Hillside Christian Church, South Campus. He loved talking about Jesus and sharing his word. He enjoyed hunting, riding four wheelers, technology, lifting weights and being outdoors and most of all, he loved being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Latrell Denton and Thomas and Dorothy Winchester.
He is survived by his wife Christie Winchester, a daughter Trinity Winchester; a son Bladen Winchester, his parents, John and Dianne Winchester; a brother, Chad Winchester and wife Dayamin; a sister Mendi Trogdon, and husband, Trog; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Breagan and Kyan Winchester, and Sevyn, Rok and Truth Trogdon; a Godson, Marcus Trammell, father and mother in law, Milton and Jane Headrick; brother in law, Chad Headrick; sister in law, Paula Headrick.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for the children's education is being set up at the Bank of Beaver City in Turpin, Oklahoma at PO Box 100, Turpin, OK 73950, (580) 778-3444.
