John David "JD" Howard Upchurch
March 10, 2012 - January 22, 2014
John David "JD" Howard Upchurch passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2014 at Family Life Church, 3900 S.W. 58th with Pastor Dale Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
JD was born on March 10, 2012 to Chris and Nicole Upchurch in Amarillo, Texas. JD was a daddy's boy and was always waiting for his dad to get home from work. Every night, they had a hersheys candy bar together after dinner. He loved Daddy's race car and going to the races. JD was always happy and smiling and had beautiful blue eyes. JD's favorite foods were hot dogs and cheese and his sister taught him to eat black olive rings off of his fingers. JD also loved "dawgs" and balls and could already swing a bat. He was a very independent little boy who loved his buh and sis very much. They were best "buds".
JD was preceded in death by his grandfather Dewayne Butler and his great grandfather Ellis Butler.
He is survived by his parents; a brother Logan and a sister Kaydee; his grandparents Howard "Steve" Upchurch and wife Beverley; Grandmothers Joyce Jefcoat of Amarillo and Nancy Butler of Odessa; Great Grandparents John Upchurch and wife Mary and Great Grandmother Sandra Butler, both of Amarillo. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will be receiving friends at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The family would like everyone to wear green in honor of JD to the funeral services on Monday.
