John F. Tenny, 83 of Amarillo died on Monday, October 26, 2015. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Road.
John was born on November 24, 1931 in Bay City Michigan to Roy And Margaret Tenny. He served in the United States Air Force as an air plane mechanic. He served his country proudly for 21 years until his retirement. He married Cordelia Ames on October 24, 2006 in Amarillo. John enjoyed playing on his computer and with his puppies but he will be most remembered for his funny jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a step son.
He is survived by his wife, Cordelia; two sons, James Parker and Johnny Tenny; a daughter, Patty Miller; six step children, Kelly Hilliard, and his wife, Barbara, Betty Ellis and her husband, Keith, Sandra Boydston, Kay Hudson, Don Sanders and his wife, Judy and Verna Sanders; a sister and a brother.
