John Arthur Shoels

John Arthur Shoels, 67 of Amarillo passed away on July 9, 2014.

Memorial services will be held at 11am Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road with Pastor Rhonda McClenton of New Creation Worship Center officiating. Cremation entrusted to Memory Gardens Crematory in Amarillo.

Arthur was born on May 18, 1947 in Clarendon unto Roosevelt and Essie Smith Shoels. He was raised in Clarendon and graduated from Carver High School in 1966.
He was a truck driver for 48 years and his handle was ‘Roadrunner”. He married Mary Hill on Jan. 24, 1992 in Amarillo. Arthur was a family man who loved and served the Lord. He loved to gamble and play the lottery. He was a member of New Creation Worship Center in Amarillo.

He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife Mary, his children, Sheran, Von, Roscoe, Iesha, Keyva, Jennifer, Breanna and Johnathan, his Mother Essie Smith Shoels, eight brothers, five sisters and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews
