John H. "Hank" Kinzer
1959-2017
John H."Hank" Kinzer, 58, of Amarillo died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, March 3, 2017 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Rev Brian Hesse of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Pampa, Texas. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Hank was born on February 12, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas to Barnes and Juanita Kinzer. He grew up in Amarillo where he attended Caprock High School. He married Rose Ceniceros on May 19, 1998 in Amarillo. Hank worked as a utility operator at Pantex and he also was a farmer who loved to sit and look at his wheat fields. He was a generous man always willing to help those in need. He loved his family and will be remembered for the big teddy bear he was with children. Hank will be best remembered for believing and living the "Golden Rule."
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rose; two brothers, Bill Kinzer and Alan Kinzer and wife Linda; a niece, Randi Ruiz and husband, Michael; three nephews, Josh Kinzer and wife Laura, Jeremiah Kinzer and wife Allegra and JohnB Kinzer and financee Tristian; great nephews, Michael Ruiz and Jacob Ruiz; great niece, Kenley Kinzer; a sister in law, Blanca Aguilar and husband John; and his "children", Misty, Bones and Marley.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, please make memorial to Amarillo Food Bank or the Ronald McDonald House.
