Her service will be 10:00AM Thursday June 28, 2012 at LaGrone-Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road Road, Amarillo, Texas Visitation will be Wednesday June 27, 2012 from 6-7PM at the funeral home.
JoAnn was born on January 9, 1956 in Fort Morgan Colorado unto Lucy and Margaret Roybal Mares. JoAnn was raised and educated in Greeley Colorado and moved to Amarillo several years ago. She met Tom Gonzales and they became the proud parents of Keith. JoAnn was an licensed instructor at Milan Institute of Cosmetology in Amarillo. She loved to cook, sew, go fishing and be outdoors. She was known to be an avid bargain shopper.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Louie Mares, a sister Mary Mares and a daughter Cassandra Mares
Survived by her son Keith Gonzales, her best friends Lydia and Ambro Ramos and their children Lori, Johnny and Jerry, three sisters Kathy, Dottie and Veronica Sanchez and a host of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
