Jeweldean “Judy” Carathers was born on September 4, 1937, in Hardin, MO to Effie and Darrel Rockhold. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1956 and then married her beloved husband, Bill, on May 28, 1957, in Cactus, TX. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmom, and GGMom to all of her family. She loved quilting and we are all fortunate to have several of her quilts. She taught for many years at R & R Quilts and More and was known for her “Pineapple” Classes. She was patient with other quilters and eager to share her expertise. Bill and Judy loved to travel to see their children wherever they lived and also loved going to the mountains. She could always be found supporting her grandchildren in cheerleading competitions, sports or orchestra concerts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and her loving husband, Bill.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Andre and husband Edward; one son, Brad Carathers and wife Stephanie; three grandchildren, Lisa Geary and husband Derek, Brandon Carathers and wife Maggie, and Michael Carathers; two great grandchildren, Tanner and Cheyenne Geary and many other extended family members and loving friends
