Jetta Morris, 66, of Amarillo died on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Memorial services will be at 10:00 am, Monday, August 22, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with John Blakley officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Jetta was born on March 4, 1950 in Altus, OK to Donald and Eileen Crisp. She married the love of her life, Doyle Morris on June 26, 1976 in Amarillo. Jetta was a crazy, fun loving fisherman who loved to steal your spot while fishing and some say a better campfire cook than in the kitchen. Jetta's Dad would not let her have dogs and boy did she make up for lost time after marrying Doyle. Great Danes to Cocker Spaniels and everything in between had a home with Jetta. She never met a stranger and was known to invite them along on trips. Oh how she could make you laugh with her crazy antics and was a die hard Dallas Cowboy and Oklahoma Sooners fan. Jetta loved her family and friends and was always looking forward to the next time everyone would get together and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle; a daughter, Melanie Mickey and husband Brack; a son, Boone Morris and wife Shea; three grandchildren, Daxstyn and Berkley Mickey and Greer Morris; her sister, Donna Barnett and numerous other family members and friends.
