Jesus Richard "Nash" Preciado, 70, of Amarillo died on Thursday, February 26, 2014. Memorial Services will at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Mathews Methodist Church, 1631 S. Roberts. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Richard was born on June 7, 1943 to Jesus and Socorro in Amarillo, Texas. Richard lived his entire life in Amarillo where he had many life long friends. He was a concrete finisher for over 30 years and took great pride in his work. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved listening to the "Oldies but Goodies".
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Yvonne Preciado I, a son, Richard (Balou) Preciado, a sister, Amelia Cavazos and a niece Jean-Jean Padilla.
Richard is survived by 3 daughters, Tina Luera, Belinda Preciado Sigala and husband Richard, Yvonne Preciado Gonzales and husband Henry; 3 sons, Ray Frausto, Richard Robles and Christopher (Buddha) Preciado; 5 sisters, Virginia Preciado Chavez and Fred, Pauline Salazar and husband Frank, Margie Lujan and Cruz, Linda Sanders and husband Barry and Christina Velasco and husband Abel; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nurses at BSA Hospice for their loving care of Richard.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Mathews Methodist Church.
