He never attended school but learned to read and write on his own. At a young age, he would jump on trains and travel wherever he could. This would lead to him becoming a police officer and rising to the title of Vice-president of El Porvinir, Chihuahua. Along the way, he met many famous people including being on the security detail escorting the United States President John F. Kennedy. After coming to the United States, he worked at Tyson until he retired. Mr. Gonzales was a serious, loving man who was respected by all who knew him. Even though he was serious, he loved to joke whenever he could. He loved to travel in Mexico and the United States. His grandchildren called him “Papi Bubu”, and he will be missed by his special dog Shiloh. Above all, he dearly loved his family.
