Jessie Lou Jackson, 86, of Amarillo died on Friday, January 16, 2015. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, January 23, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Bob Miller of Crossroads Country Church officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm, Friday, January 23, 2015 in the Erick, OK cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Jessie Lou Jackson was born on February 19, 1928 in Erick, OK to John and Dora O'Connor. Jessie and her husband were members of Good Sams travel club and loved traveling the United States. She loved to crotchet and do ceramics. She was a very patriotic lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, one grandson, six brothers and one sister.
She is survived by one daughter, two granddaughters, one granddaughter-in-law, three great granddaughters, four great grandsons, one sister and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to: The Children's Hospital, 1200 N. Children's Avenue (formerly Phillips Ave.) Oklahoma City, OK.
