Jesse Byron Hamilton

Jesse Hamilton went to heaven on April 1, 2025, at 11:58 pm in Amarillo, TX. Born on November 22, 1937 to David and Mary Hamilton in Monterose, CO.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Dee, a son Jesse Hamilton, Jr. daughter Brandi Fulkerson and 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Tiffany, Parrish Dameon and Tevin.

Jesse graduated from Durango High School in 1957, joined the Army and served 2 years in Korea. Following his military service, he became a welder and worked all over Colorado. During this time Jesse began to feel God's call on his life to preach the Gospel. So, in 1965 he enrolled and attended Bible Baptist College in Springfield MO and graduated in 1968. BBC was where he met Dee Deal.

Dee and Jesse married in 1992 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. They began their lives at Emmanuel and served the Lord and His people there until Dee retired in 2024. Jess served 20 years and Dee 35 years. In September 2024 they moved to Amarillo to be closer to their daughter, Brandi. Jess and Dee were so thankful to Brandi and Tevin for their love and special care as they made the decision to begin a new phase of their lives. Jess had a special relationship with Brandi who shares how blessed she was to have Jesse as her bonus dad.

Jesse (who was lovingly known as JessPa by many) loved hunting, jeeping in the mountains of Colorado with Dee, the Broncos and his dog, Koby.

Jesse was the kind of person who had a unique relationship with all who knew him. He will be remembered and missed by so many.
