Jerry W. Clark, 77, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 In Claude. He was born on December 22, 1942 in Walters, OK to the late Macon Clark and Emily Trantham Clark. On August 6, 1966 he married Dorothy Crowell in Claude, TX. Jerry was the owner and operator of Big Daddy’s BBQ in Amarillo where he enjoyed talking with the customers and telling stories. He also loved to fish. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church in Amarillo.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Clark of Amarillo; one daughter, Angela Clark-Kimbell and husband Shorty of Tulia; one son, Darrell Clark and wife Kristie of Crowley; grandchildren, Nicolette Clark and Ben Clark; step-granddaugher, Tosha Kimbell; step-great grandchildren, Paris Story, C.J. Devereaux and Bella Harris; sister, LaJune Howell of Canyon; two brothers, Glen Clark of Westminister, CO and David Clark of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by one brother, Mickey Clark.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, October 22, 2021 at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home, 1505 Martin Rd, Amarillo. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Burial will follow at Claude Cemetery.
The family has requested memorials be sent to Gracies Animal Rescue Project, 10850 I-40 Frontage Road, Amarillo, Texas.
