Jerri Don Horton, 59, of Amarillo died on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Mike Nuthman of Hillside Christian Church officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Jerri was born on July 17, 1958 to Charles and Marie Horton. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and retired with a rank of Staff Sergeant. He then went to work for Pantex as a security guard for over eighteen years. Jerri loved to go to Galveston and go Deep Sea Fishing. When he was not fishing, he loved to go to the range and shoot guns and watch NHRA races where he was a John Force fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles and a brother, David.
He is survived by his wife, Venita; a son, Timothy Tracy and wife Tasha; a daughter, Regina Stoudmire; his mother, Marie Lindow and husband Richard; three brothers, Danny Horton and wife Cindy, Kenny Horton and Nathan Lindow and wife Doris and four grandchildren, Tony, Tyzra, Treyson, Omarien and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Thomas E. Creek VA Medical Center

The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Friday, February 16, 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
