Jean Fraley, 83 of Fritch passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 in Fritch, TX.
Graveside services will be at 9:00 AM Monday, Oct. 24, 2011 at Llano Cemetery with
Bro. Shuman officiating under the direction of LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
Alta Jean was born on May 10, 1928 in Amarillo to Jack and Alta Burgess. She attended school in Amarillo, graduating from Amarillo High School. Alta then attended Pensacola Jr. College where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Teaching. She married John Fraley on November 17, 1984 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2008. Alta was a member of Word of Life Church in Borger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fraley in 2008; brother, Bill Burgess in 1963 and sister, Rachel Austin in 1968.
Survivors include her son, William Dee Carr, Jr. and wife Debbie of Lynn Haven, FL; 3 daughters, Judy Ann Pentecost and husband Terry of Baton Rouge, LA, Becky Loyd of Bainbridge, GA and Kaylyn Smith of Fritch; sister, Bette Thompson of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
