Jazmin Lillee-Jain Divina, 12, of Amarillo passed from this life on Saturday, January 7, 2017. A wake service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 followed by a visitation until 8:00 pm in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral with Rev. Scott Raef as Celebrant. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Jazmin was born in Amarillo on November 20, 2004 to Jasper and Samantha Divina. She attended Johnny N. Allen 6th Grade Campus. Jazmin was a gifted athlete where she played for various teams and sports. She played fast pitch softball, with her last team being Kaos, she also played AEV Palo Duro Club Volleyball, she wrestled with Palo Duro Little Dons, West Amarillo Rhinos, River Road Little Wildcats and ran track. Her teammates called her giggles and her favorite jersey number was 00, which she always picked. When Jazmin wasn't on the court or field, she was giving her brothers a hard time or asking her parents to take her to the gym to practice one of her sports. She was a compassionate young girl wanting to help others, she and her family would grow their hair to donate to Locks for Love. Her mischievous pranks will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Tutu, Dora Maes and Babs Mayhew, great grandparents, Joe Paul and Mary Lopez and two aunts, Marygrace Divina, and Isabel Aragon.
Jazmin is survived by her parents, Jasper and Samantha Divina; her brothers, Sammy Lopez and Lukee Divina; grandparents, Dickey and JoAnn Lopez and Joe and V.J. Mayhew; great grandfather, Robert Maes; uncle, Davie Griego and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and teammates.
