Jayson Brackeen

Jayson Brackeen, 33 of Amarillo, TX passed away on September 13, 2011.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Llano Cemetery-East with Pastor Ken Haney officiating.  Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX.

Jayson was born on January 26, 1978 to Lloyd and Glenda Brackeen on a cold, snowy day at the old Northwest Texas Hospital on 7th St. in Amarillo, TX.  He passed away at the new NWTH location on Coulter on September 13, 2011.  He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1996.  Jayson worked at the Hastings location on 45th for several years as a clerk in the music dept. and made many good friends there.   He loved sports and especially wrestling.  His favorite football team was the New England Patriots.  He was also known as the “Bargain Hunter” because he knew where all of the sales were.  Jayson endured many medical set-backs and was brave through them all.  He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Glenda Brackeen;  a sister, Jana Lynn Brackeen; his grand-parents, Leta & Frank Ellis of Memphis, TX. and Omer L. Brackeen & Fern Brackeen of Amarillo.

Survivors include his Father, Lloyd Brackeen and many loving cousins and friends.

The Family would like to extend their gratitude to the NWTH staff of  # 5A South and the MICU.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to a favorite charity in memory of Jayson.
