James E. Wiker

James Edward Wiker 69, of Clovis New Mexico, passed away on Sunday March 5, 2023 in Amarillo. He was born September 14, 1953 in Lancaster Pennsylvania to the late John and Dorothy Wiker.

James served 26 years in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1997. While serving in the United States Air Force, James went through intensive training such as Basic Military Training, USAF Senior NCO Academy, NCO Leadership School, and Military Airlift Command NCO Academy among others.

He received many awards, accommodations and ribbons, some including Air Force Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

James is preceded in death by his brother John Wiker.

James loved spending time with his grandkids. He was a fan of Penn State University and the Pittsburg Steelers.

He is survived by his wife, Nuchin of the home, his son James Wiker, His daughter Joanne Ford and husband Darell, sisters Janice Wiker and Judy Colin and husband Michael, sister-in-law Anne Wiker.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday March 9, 2023 at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo. Cremation will be at 2:00 PM Friday March 10, 2023, Memory Gardens Crematory 14200 I-27.
