James Tijerina Jimenez, 30 of Amarillo died on Sunday September 6, 2015. Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 11, 2015 at New Life Embassy with Pastor Oscar " Spike" Maldonado, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
James was born on December 18, 1984 in Amarillo to Raul and Diana Jimenez. He grew up in Amarillo. James attended Caprock High School where he played football. He married Nelly Rangel on January 16, 2009 in Amarillo. He was employed at Throwbacks Sports Bar. James was an avid pool player and passionate about riding his Harley.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Santos "Chio" Rodriguez.
James is survived by his wife, Nelly; son, James D. Jimenez; daughters, Miriah Jimenez, Mireya Jimenez, and Maleya Jimenez; father and step mother, Raul Jimenez and Christina Chavez; mother, Diana Jones; brothers, Jacob Jimenez, Jeremy Jimenez; sister, Jacqueline Esquivel and her husband, Jose; grandfather, Pablo Tijerina, and a host of other family members.
