James William Jackson, 59, of Amarillo died on, Tuesday, January 13, 2015. Memorial services were held on Friday, January 16, 2015. Arrangements were by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
James William Jackson was born on December 29, 1055 in Amarillo to John and Jessie Jackson. Jimmy worked in golf course ground maintenance at Tascosa Country Club. He also loved racing lawn mowers and going to the Amarillo Dragway and Route 66 speedway.
He was preceded in death by parents and a brother.
He is survived by one sister, two nieces, three great nieces and four great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to: The Children's Hospital of Oklahoma City, 1200 N. Children's Avenue (formerly Phillips Ave.) Oklahoma City, OK.
