Jacob Isaac Valdez, 36, of Amarillo passed from this life on January 2, 2017. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, January 6, 2017 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Bill Gehm of Grace Church officiating.
Jacob was born on July 2, 1980 in Amarillo, Texas to Isaac and Josie Valdez. He grew up in Amarillo where he graduated from Tascosa High School in 1998. After high school he attended WyoTech in Laramie, Wyoming for diesel technology. He returned to Amarillo where he worked as a diesel mechanic at De Volada Truck Repair. Jacob was a motor cycle enthusiast where he enjoyed riding and building motor cycles. He was also an artist and musician. Jacob read the Bible especially passages about his namesake.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Desiderio and Josefina Tijerina and a uncle, Henry Tijerina.
Jacob is survived by his parents, Isaac and Josie Valdez; his sister, Prisilla Navarro and her husband, R.J.; three daughters, Jisella Belle Valdez, Reyna Jolie Valdez, and Jayde Preslee Valdez; grandparents, Joe and Elida Valdez; nephews and nieces, Abram Navarro, Abryelle Navarro, Azalei-Jo Navarro and Michael Garcia; special friends, Henry Galvan, Iris Mendoza and Kelly Ann Clancy and numerous aunt, uncles and cousins.
