Jackie Dale Wood

Jackie Dale Wood, 62, of Amarillo died on Friday, February 20, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Jackie was born on August 28, 1953 in Amarillo to Andrew and Ruby Wood. He graduated from Palo Duro High School and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam era.
Jackie married Gaylin Massey on July 1, 1978 in Amarillo. He was a second generation auto technician and loved to work on everybody's cars. He was a master jack of all trades and could fix anything and loved doing home projects. Jackie was loyal and always available to his family and friends. He loved spending weekends at Lake Greenbelt and loved going to auctions where he was a skilled price negotiator, but most of all, Jackie loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Gaylin.
He is survived by a son, Christin Wood and a daughter, Tiffany Johnson and husband Brandon, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Betty Leeper of Amarillo and Karen Ingle and husband John of Tatum, NM; his close friend, Becky McAnear of Amarillo; two nephews and three nieces and his five grand dogs, Razz, Lucky, Bandit, Miley and Abby.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn SHaw Coulter Road Chapel.
