Irmgard Utsey, 87, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:30 on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

Irmgard was born on January 7, 1932 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Hans and Josephine Lang. She married Alton Utsey in Germany on December 1, 1950. After moving to the United States, Irmgard was a housewife taking care of all of the household duties while Alton worked. She was a great cook known for her German dishes especially her German Potato Salad and German Chocolate Cake. She loved to go on vacation, go camping in Colorado, and loved her dachshund Hans.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alton, two sisters and two grandsons.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Saddoris and husband Shelton; two sons, Alan Utsey and wife Gail and Barry Utsey and wife Eula; eleven grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.
