Irene Franco, 64, of Amarillo and Borger died Sunday March 8, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Iglesia Libertad En Cristo with Pastor Martha Hernandez officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 Coulter Road Amarillo, Texas.
Irene Franco was born on June 27, 1950 in Mexico to Cosme Franco and Maria Reyes. She worked in food service at the Continental for many years. Irene was a very loving, forgiving, and hardworking person. She was always looking to give her grandchildren and everyone around her the best.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Antonio Franco.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Leticia Fernandez and husband Juan of Borger; two grandchildren, Briana Garcia and husband Josh of Canadian, and Ezequiel Fernandez of Borger; and five sisters, Mercedez Garza, Maria deJesus Franco, Irma Hernandez, Isabel Velasquez, and Rosa Sanchez.
