Hiep Thi Hoang, 73, passed away on October 24, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas. She was born on June 10, 1951, in Mong Cai, Vietnam to Trung Van Hoang and Xuan Thi Nguyen. She was married to Tan Canh Hoang in 1972, and he passed away in 2009.
Mrs. Hoang was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tan Canh Hoang, a son, Dung Tri Hoang and a brother, Rui Van Hoang.
She is survived by four children: Tri Nhung (Hoang) Hoang, Thu-Huong Thi (Son) Hoang, Phuc Trong (Tram) Hoang and Duc Trong Hoang, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with three sisters: Binh Thi Hoang, Ngoc-Tuyet Thi Hoang, and Ngoc-Thai Thi Hoang.
Mrs. Hoang attended school and then college in Vietnam, eventually moving to Amarillo in 2003 with her husband and youngest son Duc. She worked for Tyson from 2003 and retired in 2019 in the sanitation department. She was very close to her co-workers at Tyson. She attended Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church. Family members described her life as one of sacrifice—for her husband, her children, and her grandchildren whom she loved so dearly. She was kind, soft-hearted, and loved to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
