Hazel Brooks, 94 of Amarillo died on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am,  Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Holt Cemetery, Spearman, Texas with Glenn Walton, officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Friday, August 21, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Road.

Hazel was born on September 24, 1920 in Hutchinson County,  Texas to Lee and Grace Jenkins. She married Lowell Brooks on September 27, 1940 in Spearman, Texas. Hazel was a homemaker. She loved her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sisters, Alma and Helen, Brothers, John and Wesley and son, Jeff Brooks.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bob and Rita Brooks, Albuquerque; grandchildren, Janice Stewart and her husband, David, Jennifer Womack and her husband, Jim,  B.J. Brooks and his wife, Ginny, all of Amarillo, and Colin Brooks, and his wife; four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to: Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or a favorite children's home.
