Harry Neal Gipson, 75 passed away in Logan, New Mexico on May 26, 2011.
Mr. Gipson's funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Rd., Amarillo, TX with John Gipson, Minister of the Gospel officiating and assisted by Russell Stewart, Elder of Conroe Church of Christ and Dr. Thomas Taylor. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Monday, May 30, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Funeral Home, 8310 S. Coulter in Amarillo, TX
Harry was born July 13, 1935 in Turkey, TX to Felix Claude and Mary Dell Butler Gipson. He graduated from Odessa High School and Abilene Christian College where he received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Music with a Minor in Biblical Studies. He married Marilyn Maxwell on December 27, 1954 in Odessa, TX. Harry was a Minister of The Gospel for 48 years. He served in Del Rio, TX for 19 years, then moved to Logan, NM where he has been the Minister at Logan Church of Christ for 8 years. Harry was also a published Christian author and editor. He was a loving Christian Husband, Father and Friend. He was very humorous and also very humble.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn of the family home at Logan and two sons, Donnie Gipson and his wife Terri of Pflugerville, TX, and Robert Gipson and His wife Julie of Keller, TX. two Daughters, Cindy Stewart and her Husband Russell of Montgomery, TX, and Julie Eldridge and her husband Steve of Amarillo. One brother John Gipson and his wife Beth of Little Rock, AR. Grandchildren: Valerie and Kenny Stewart, Lindsey and Tyler Gipson, Brian, Jennifer and Carmen Gipson, Emily, Sarah and Jackson Eldridge. Great-Grand daughter: Katelyn Seward.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Robert.
