Gwen Garwood Hall, 86, of Amarillo died passed away on July 10, 2011.
The family will have a celebration of life service at a later date. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St. Amarillo, TX
Gwen was born on July 24, 1924 in Amarillo to Clyde and Elizabeth Garwood. She graduated high school in Amarillo before attending college at Amarillo Junior College, where she obtained an associate degree.
Gwen worked as a clerk for Shamrock Oil and Gas Co./Valero for more than 30 years, retiring in the mid-80s. She married Bob Hall in the 1950s. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2009.
Gwen was the last charter member of what is now Valleyview Church of the Nazarene.
Her survivors include two nieces, Betty Gikas and BoJean Allen of Roswell, N.M; a nephew, George Garwood of Sonora, Calif.; and a host of friends.
