Guadalupe Sanchez Andrade

Guadalupe Sanchez Andrade, 93, formerly of Amarillo, died Saturday, December 23, 2022, in Denham Springs, La.

Guadalupe, a longtime resident of Amarillo, was born January 13, 1929, in Dickens, TX to Florencio and Jovita (Sanchez) Andrade. In 1945, he married Angela A. Andrews and to this union, two children were born. He retired from the City of Amarillo in 1994.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Meliton Andrade, and sister, Victoria (Andrade) Salinas, and a granddaughter, Danieka Lee Andrade.

Survivors include his two sons, Guadalupe Andrade Jr. and wife Geraldine of Denham Springs and Richard Lee Andrade, and wife Nancy of Amarillo. He was "Papa" to five granddaughters, two grandsons, seven great-granddaughters, and eight great-grandsons.

Funeral services are scheduled for January 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St. Amarillo Texas officiated by Mr. J.R. Romero. The interment will be at Llano Cemetery.
